2021/24370 - Assaults on Emergency Workers

REQUEST

I'd like to request the full data sets from the assaults on emergency workers study commissioned by Gwent Police on behalf of the Joint Emergency Services Group earlier this year.

In particular, I'd like to see the number and nature (ie. verbal abuse, kicking, biting) of assaults on workers organised by emergency service and region of Wales.

I'd also like to see the proportion of assaults involving:

- Alcohol

- Drugs

- Perceived mental and/or physical health issues on the part of the offender

- Offenders under the age of 18

Finally, I'd like some clarification on the methodology of the research - how data was recorded and gathered, and the period of time it covered.
