2021/24701 - Assaults on victims due to ginger or red hair

REQUEST

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. My request relates to assaults on people due to red or ginger hair.

I would like to request the following information:

1) The number of crimes reported - or incidents to which police were called - to your force relating to physical or verbal abuse of a victim due to having ginger or red hair in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and in 2021 up to November 15;

2) The number of charges made by your police force following physical or verbal abuse of a victim due to having ginger or red hair in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and in 2021 up to November 15.

Please provide the information in electronic format, in an excel spreadsheet.

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits, please provide advice and assistance as to how I can refine my request.
