We currently have a total of X 27 Family Liaison Officers (FLO) and X 6 Family Liaison Co-ordinators (FLC).
Currently all FLO’s and FLC’s are police officers.

FLOs are recruited via expressions of interest and support of their line manager. This process is managed by a Detective Inspector (as lead FLC), and training provided by Nationally accredited external trainer.
As above. We are also holding a CPD forcewide event and attend National & regional CPD events. Training is also provided by the LA with regard to the Crisis Support Worker Scheme.
Support is managed through our welfare FLC. There are currently psychological assessments for FLOs in place, The trim referral process, specific wellbeing and mental health inputs and the de-brief process to identify any further support required from external agencies in line with force wide support
