2022/25544 - Impounded cars

REQUEST

 I'd like to make a Freedom of Information request around impounded vehicles.

* How many vehicles were seized and impounded in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 to date?

* How many vehicles seized and impounded in 2017,18,19, 20, 21, 22 (to date) did the owner claim within the 14 day period?

* How many were scrapped/sold (for each of those years) after the owner didn't claim or pay the charge?

* Are you able to tell me the most expensive three cars you impounded over the past 12 months, and whether they were claimed, scrapped or sold? Also, what was the most expensive car you scrapped?

CLARIFICATION

I'm interested now in just vehicles that have been seized/impounded because they 1/ have no insurance/driving license (Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act) and/or 2/ No tax (Section 29)

* How many vehicles were seized (and impounded) in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 to date for the above?

* How many/% of those vehicles ended up being scrapped (for each of those years)? - if you don't have this data, don't worry.

* Are you able to tell me the most expensive car you seized/impounded over the past 12 months for not having insurance and/or driving license and/or tax. Alternatively, were any supercars (Ferraris, Lamborghinis) seized?
