REQUEST

 

I would like to find out the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.

 

1) How many arrests were made by your police force in the years 2021 and 2022 for attempted sexual communication with a child and sexual communication with a child?

 

2) How many of those arrested were charged?

 

3) How many of those were convicted?

 

4) Of those arrested, can you tell me how many were brought to police attention by so-called paedophile hunter groups. These groups, which go under a variety of names, carry out 'stings' after using decoys online. After confronting a suspect, the information is then handed over to police.
